The art collective best known for creating Satanic-themed sneakers with rapper Lil Nas X are now encouraging people to “eat the rich” with a popsicle pop-up project.
MSCHF, the Brooklyn-based creative arts company, said that its ice cream trucks are appearing in locations in Los Angeles, California, and New York City, New York.
“Eat the rich” is a popular slogan among socialist activists who want to dismantle capitalism.
The group’s website showed five popsicle designs targeting some of the most well-known wealthy men.

Those included Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Elon Musk of Tesla, Bill Gates of Microsoft, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, and Jack Ma of Alibaba.
Many noted the irony in the high price of the popsicles that were sold for $10 each.
“I’m going to go out on a limb here and say selling overpriced popsicles to end capitalism is peak champagne socialism larp,” said one twitter user, referring to live action role playing.
“A ice cream truck selling ‘eat the rich’ popsicles for $10 to influencers to post on Instagram so they can sell ads is ironically peak capitalism,” said another critic.
“You know capitalism has won forever when an enterprising small businessman is selling ludicrously overpriced popsicles so hipsters can literally eat the rich,” quipped another user.
MSCHF outraged many when they collaborated with Lil Nas X to create sneakers with a Satanic theme, including an air bubble filled with a drop of human blood. Among those outraged was the Nike company, who sued to stop MSCHF from using their shoes as a base for their design. The art collective later settled with Nike and halted their sales of the shoes.
The rapper made fun of people who were outraged about the shoes.
